Track Coach is a Progressive Web App (PWA). This means you get the full app experience, home screen icon, full-screen interface, and lightning-fast performance without the privacy invasive tracking or forced updates of traditional app stores.
Installation – Add to Home Screen
iPhone (Safari)
- Open tc.mackcrows.com in Safari.
- Tap the Share icon (the square with the upward arrow).
- Scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen.”
- Tap “Add” in the top right. Track Coach is now on your home screen.
Android (Chrome)
- Open tc.mackcrows.com in Chrome.
- Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
- Tap “Install App” or “Add to Home Screen.”
- Follow the prompt to confirm.

Why a PWA?
- Privacy and Data Ownership: Traditional apps often require “permission to track” your activity across other companies’ apps and websites. Because Track Coach is a PWA, we cannot and do not track your behavior outside of our application. Your data remains your own.
- Instant Updates: We push new features, nutritional intelligence updates, and bug fixes directly to the app. You don’t have to wait for a 48-hour App Store review process or a manual download to access the latest version of the coach.
- Device Performance: Track Coach is lightweight. It uses significantly less storage space and battery life than traditional apps because it leverages your existing browser engine rather than installing massive, bloated files on your device.
- No Middleman: By maintaining a direct relationship with our users, we avoid the restrictive “walled garden” policies of Apple and Google. This allows us to focus entirely on building the most accurate nutrition tool possible, rather than following app store bureaucracy.
- By delivering Track Coach as a PWA, we eliminate these middleman fees entirely. This allows us to:
- Maintain Lower Subscription Fees: We pass the savings directly to you, keeping Track Coach more affordable than traditional, store-dependent competitors.
- Invest in Intelligence: Instead of paying for “shelf space” in an app store, every dollar of your subscription goes directly into improving our AI models and nutritional database.
- Keep the App Ad-Free: Because we aren’t beholden to the revenue requirements of the Play or App Stores, we can maintain a clean, professional interface without the need for intrusive third-party advertising.
We may add MackCrows Track Coach to the app stores in the future, but because the app stores are marketplaces and require significant fees, we expect notably higher monthly subscription costs for users who download through those marketplaces.
