How do I track calories and macros?
The app offers several ways for you to easily input your food or recipes and the AI automatically logs your calories and macros. You can simply take a picture of the product label, nutrition label, or even your plate. You can speak to the app by using voice input, or good old fashioned type into the chat box. The app also supports custom recipes. In our opinion, snapping a pic or just saying “I had 2 eggs with 2 strips of bacon and tortilla with 4 tablespoons of salsa” does the trick.
Can I just take a picture of my food to track it?
Quite often, yes. It will certainly struggle with distinguishing a bowl of ice cream covered with whipped cream since it cannot see what’s hiding underneath the whipped cream, but it often will get you pretty close and you can fine tune with some additional information. It does a great job with product labels too. You can even snap one pic of two bags of edamame beans and it will log both from just the one photo.
